Coy, a recently retired Master Chief, has over twenty years of active-duty experience in operations and technical leadership, training, and maintenance management. In recent years, he served as an afloat Training Liaison Officer (TLO), N81 Directorate Leading Chief Petty Officer (DLCPO), and was Combat Systems team lead at Afloat Training Group, Mayport, where he currently serves as a Program Analyst. As a Combat Air Control Supervisor (AICS), he is a recognized SME on Fighter Tactics, with extensive Fleet experience in Anti-Air Warfare Coordination on multiple baselines. He holds Master Training Specialist (MTS), Afloat Training Specialist (ATS), and Post-Secondary Instructor certifications. Additionally, his other qualifications included Tactical Action Officer (TAO), Force Anti-Air Warfare Coordinator (FAAWC), Anti-Surface/Sub-Surface Warfare Coordinator (ASUWC/ASWC), Combat Information Center Watch Officer (CICWO), Conning Officer (CONN), Anti-Terrorism Tactical Watch Officer (ATTWO), and Small Craft Warfare Insignia.
Coy has an associate’s degree in general studies.
