John is retired from the US Navy, having served for twenty years as an Instrumentman (IM). Instrumentmen were involved with mechanical instrument repair and calibration shops, clock repair and adjustments, and office equipment repair. John served primarily on surface and submarine tenders and shore repair facilities. His last assignment was as an instructor at NTTC Pensacola. Shortly after his retirement, he began instructing the Oxygen Calibration and Cleaning Course. He continues teaching this course today and is a valuable addition to our team.

He has an associate’s degree in Electronics Engineering and completed calibration technician apprenticeship requirements.
