November 11, 2021 – U.S. Secretary of Labor Martin J. Walsh recognized MRP Training Solutions as one of the 849 recipients of the 2021 HIRE Vets Medallion Award during a virtual awards ceremony presented by the U.S. Department of Labor. MRP Training Solutions earned the gold award after applying earlier this year. The Honoring Investments in Recruiting and Employing American Military Veterans Act (HIRE Vets Act) Medallion Program is the only federal award program that recognizes employers who successfully recruit, hire and retain veterans.
“We are fortunate to be in an industry where our need to hire veterans is greater than some other industries,” said MRP Training Solutions’ Chief Executive Officer, Andrew Hayes. “Veterans bring the skillsets and experience that we need to continue to support our government and industry partners. We appreciate the veteran’s work ethic and commitment, so we as a company need to ensure we provide them with the direction, resources, influences, and support needed for them to thrive.”
MRP Training Solutions joins 848 other companies from 49 states, plus the District of Columbia, who have shown a commitment to hiring veterans, but also ensuring that they have long-term career and growth plans that uses the diverse skills they acquired through military service.
Recipients of the 2021 HIRE Vets Medallion Award meet rigorous employment and veteran assistance criteria, including veteran hire and retention percentages, availability of veteran-specific resources, leadership programming for veterans, dedicated human resources efforts and pay compensation and tuition assistance programs for veterans. More than 1400 employers have earned a HIRE Vets Medallion Award since 2018
